I'm still giddy about being in conversation with Patty Lin about her book: END CREDITS: HOW I BROKE UP WITH HOLLYWOOD at the Stanford University Bookstore. ⁠
⁠
We had such a great conversation and a heck of a lot of laughs. The audience was packed and both Patty and I were lucky enough to have our families present!⁠

A bonus was a surprise visit from Silvia Vasquez-Lavado! ⁠
⁠
I spent last weekend at a Zibby Retreat in Solvang and not only got to see Patty again and spend time together, but I also met Silvia. To be surrounded by such beautiful human beings is not only a gift but something that changes your own spirit for the better.⁠
⁠
Having my kids with me to meet both Patty and Silvia was incredible. They knew exactly who these incredible women were because I've not only talked about them so much, but they've also read the messages from them when they autographed their books to me. ⁠

I'm so grateful and honored to have been in conversation with Patty and to also have gotten to meet her incredible husband, Mike. ⁠

It was wonderful to finally meet @mswildgen in person! People who speak out on behalf of others are true change makers and heroes in my book...I am lucky enough that I was able to interview a hero who made true history.⁠

Sarah Vogel is not only known as The Farmer's Lawyer, but is also the author of the book! She's an attorney who filed and won the historical class action suite against the government on behalf of family farmers in the 1980's.⁠

Sarah was always fighting for the rights of others, especially women and minorities well before it was a "thing". ⁠
⁠
The Farmer's Lawyer is being released in paperback today and it's a read that I couldn't put down. It's filled with the history of our country and farmers, as well as what it takes to be a legal professional who is fighting for the rights of your clients.⁠

I believe The Farmer's Lawyer should be required reading for every American and for every law student. It's eye opening and gives you a perspective on family farms that you might not otherwise have. ⁠
