Work life balance is not a new term but seems to be more prevalent lately as everyone is trying to be everything and everyone at once. The truth is that there is no such thing as work life balance in the sense that you can achieve an even split between the two. You will experience different seasons of life which will require you to spend different amounts of time working or living life. Finding true balance is about living in the moment that you are currently in and being fully present.
True balance is achievable when you focus on what you are doing in the moment and enjoying it.

– Creating Balance
Finding Balance When You Work From Home
There’s a misconception that if you work from home, you automatically have balance, but it’s the opposite. There are blurred lines when you work from home because you are constantly juggling work life and home life. It’s important to set working hours and to have a shut off time just as you would in a 9-5 and to dedicate space to a home office. If you work from home and are a stay-at-home mom, it’s also important to find time to talk to other adults, or you just might go crazy!
Is There Such A Thing As Work Life Balance?
There is no true 50/50 split when it comes to work life balance. Balance is about being fully present in the moment you are in and truly wanting to be there. If you are struggling with enjoying one aspect over another, then you need to work on finding and creating balance in your life. When you are working too much and not enjoying life or you are playing too much and not making proper time for work, then it’s time to check-in with yourself on what you need to do to create more balance in your life. Your work life balance will change depending on the season of life you are in.
How To Create and Find Balance
Finding balance is about knowing when to say yes and when to say no. It’s about taking a step back to reflect on where your balance is out of whack and what needs to be done to fix it. Think about ways you can fix it, whether it’s getting up earlier to work or saying no to something work related in order to make more time for your family. It’s important to realize what you need to do in order to be fully present in the moment you are in.
