A pivot does not equal a failure
Michelle talks about her background and how she started in corporate aviation. Along her journey she pivoted into various other roles such as event planning, and social media management, until finding her true passion in podcasting. In no way does Michelle consider this a failure because within each of those roles she tried her best and gave it her all and simply discovered along the way that those roles and careers were not her true passion. They were not what she was meant to do. So, if you find yourself pivoting on your own journey, do not think that you failed, just think about how you discovered something else that was more suited to you, so you followed that new path instead.

Goals and setting yourself up for success
Michelle digs a little deeper into what success looks like when you are facing a pivot and how to ensure you don’t fail. To ensure that you are making progress on your path, you need to make sure that you are setting achievable, and measurable goals. You need to educate yourself on what it is going to take to achieve your goal and get you to where you want to be. If you are fully prepared and know what your plan looks like and you give it your all, you will not fail, even if a pivot or two shows up.
