Reflections on a year after her near-death experience
Michelle updates us on what has happened since her health scare back in 2022. What started out as extreme back pain quickly escalated and became a near-death experience. If Michelle hadn’t advocated for herself and her own health, she wouldn’t be with us today! She talks about coming up to the anniversary of this life-changing event, she started to feel anxious and worrisome, but after advocating for herself once again she reached out to friends, family, and her doctor to communicate her needs and her fears.
How to listen to your body’s needs
Putting yourself first and saying no!
Michelle tells us how one of the most important things she has learned to do is to stand up for herself. That involves surrounding herself with people that are as dedicated to her being happy and successful as she is to herself, and to them too. It’s important to surround yourself with people who are empathetic and can appreciate and understand that we all need time to focus on ourselves, whatever that looks like for you. We all deserve that.
