- Where To Start With Your Marketing To Include Your “Why”
- Learn About Measuring Your Marketing Numbers
How to Implement Your “Why” Into Your Marketing Strategy
Dawn explains that you can’t move forward if your brand isn’t on a solid foundation. She describes the first step as determining where you are in your business. In the beginning, you can shape and understand how your brand is going to show up once you get to those marketing initiatives.
You have to have an understanding of your brand and clearly articulate why you do what you do. Dawn tells us to think about what makes you come back tomorrow, and what you love to do. This helps people show up authentically in their space. You need to figure out what your why is and tap into it and let that be your driving force for what you are working toward. It’s crucial that your “why” is true to allow you to show up authentically and to build your brand.
How To Share Your “Why” In Your Marketing
Once you know your “why,” you need to share your posts in a multi-media mix. You should consider how your website speaks to your why and how SEO plays into this. What are you doing for your audience? Take that information and craft a way to reach them. Give them the info they need, the tools to get better, and articulate how that will make their lives easier.
Dawn shares with us that you have to retrain yourself to show up as who you are because it’s your business. Our emails should be professional if that is who you are, but you should feel free to show up exactly as you are, and if that means adding a GIF to your email, go for it! You should be the same person in emails as you are in person. Show up as who you are because people want to feel connected with you. They want to feel like they have a relationship with you.
Where To Start With Your Marketing To Include Your “Why”
Dawn shares what marketing initiatives will help you scale better. She says that you have to ensure you build out your brand and pay attention to everything you do. Look at what you are sharing on social media and know what people care about.
You have to be in the places that the people you serve are hanging out. Dawn tells us that you don’t need to be on every platform, but you have to determine where you get your leads and show up there. You need to do what makes sense for your business and not what the hot new trend is.
Learn About Measuring Your Marketing Numbers
When you start your business, you should measure the results in order to make better marketing decisions. Dawn tells us that some of the numbers we should be measuring are ROI, engagement, and followers. You want to share a mix of content that includes sending people to your blog and website, sharing testimonials, and showing a day in your life. Then, look at what worked well to help you reach your goals and make sure you implement more of that. Pay attention to those numbers, since they will show you what your audience wants.
