If you’re ready to countdown to Christmas, then today is the day you can start…by ordering a wine advent calendar from drinjk wines. I was lucky enough to try out their party pack at our last happy hour which included a blue Chardonnay!

The first thing you’ll notice when you open your wine flight box is that all of the wines come in glass bottles that are shaped like giant test tubes. This is a total conversation starter and even the non-wine drinkers were intrigued by it. Every bottle comes with tasting notes on business card sized card stock and has all the information you need to understand where the wine is from, how much of it was made, the color, flavor notes and more. 

We had a mix of white and red wines and since each bottle is 6.3 oz, it was great for sharing and tasting each one! Our hands down favorite in the white category was the Doluca White from Turkey. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted a wine from Turkey, so discovering the Aegean region was a great plus along with the fact that this wine isn’t sold anywhere else in the United States! Truly a one-of-a-kind experience!

The red varietals were top notch and hard to narrow down which were our favorites, but we managed to select our top two…the big favorite was the Chateaux D’Caveau from France which has Cabernet Sauvignon flavors and the next favored one was the Seven Series from the Wahluke Slope in Washington. The Chateaux D’Caveau was light in taste but deep in color, while the Seven Series was more fruity and had a beautiful ruby color.
