Megan talks to Michelle about her background in journalism and yoga, and how that led her to running her own business as a writer and editor. She shares with us what her writing process is, the inspiration behind her new book, Super Bloom, and how publishing her first novel completely changed her life. Megan’s background and how she became a published author

Megan tells us all about how she began her journey by going to school for journalism as well as studying yoga, which later inspired the wellness aspect of her book, and how this along with her love of books and writing propelled her into running her own business as a writer and editor. She then goes on to walk us through the lengthy process she went through of getting her debut novel published and how after years of work, and multiple rejections, her life completely changed within the space of a week when she got the green light.

What the inspiration was behind her debut novel, Super Bloom

Megan tells us the funny story of how eight years ago a massage performed by someone who clearly did not want to be there sparked the idea for her book. Once the idea was formed, Megan went on a mission to do research into the lives of massage therapists and find out what a day in their shoes really felt like. She felt like it was important to showcase both the positive and negative of this incredibly beautiful profession.

How it felt to experience that life changing moment

Megan shares with us how it felt to receive that first life changing email and how it has been a blast and such a dreamy experience. She tells us all about how it is allowing her to work on her second book, which has already been picked up, and how it is also helping to push her out of her comfort zone and learn more in areas such as public speaking. She then goes on to tell us how jazzed her kids are at the thought of their mom being in a library! Being able to share such a wonderful achievement with her family is such a beautiful thing.
