What exactly is a podcast host?
This may seem like an obvious one, but there can be much more involved with being a podcast host than you may realize. The main role of a host is that of creating the show, interviewing guests, and creating the main audio ‘meat’ of the show. Depending on whether you have a team or are flying solo, this could also include editing the show, creating social media content to share after it has been published, and a whole manner of production and maintenance tasks that need to be completed to get the show out there.
Should you be a host or a guest?
The pros and cons of each role
Michelle breaks down the pros and cons of each role to help you get a good idea of which role is right for you. She talks about the costs involved, the creative freedom you might have, the time commitment, the marketing and production aspects, and so much more. Whichever path you decide is right for you, Michelle is here to offer an insight into both.
