Last night I finished Finding Your Unicorn Space by the incredible @everodsky and she brings up the most incredible question. How are you living your legacy right now? ⁠

Eve also talks about generativity...engaging in acts that promote the well-being of younger generations as a way of ensuring the long-term survival of the species. It's also a great way to not only show younger generations what can be done but to also get them involved.⁠

With all that's going on in our country right now, we need to be not only taking actions for ourselves but ensuring we are living our legacy by taking action for future generations. ⁠

Your legacy isn't just what how you leave your mark on the world...it's about how you're living your life in this very moment. ⁠

It's not only about being an example but teaching younger generations how they can be the example and take action. ⁠

It was breathtaking, relaxing, inspiring and on top of it all, I met women that will be in my life forever.

Crista Grasso and I went on this trip together and reconvened to tell you all about it in a 2 part series!

A month ago I was sitting with my coffee and contemplating the directions I want to take and the paths I want to follow in my business and life. ⁠

Today, I'm not sitting. ⁠
⁠
I'm taking action. ⁠
⁠
In my business, I've been working hard on my book and ensuring my clients' voices are heard. ⁠
⁠
In my personal life, I'm working to ensure my children have access to the funds necessary so their school can provide classes on music and PE (these weren't "extra" when I went to school). I'm campaigning for our mayoral candidate, volunteering my time with Moms Demand Action by writing postcards, campaigning for Gun Sense candidates and more, and I'm researching the best ways to ensure women's rights are restored and the rights of others aren't taken away. ⁠
⁠
This is not a time to sit back. This is a time to use your voice and your vote and I'm doing both. ⁠
⁠

Today marks a month since I left for the trip of a lifetime.⁠

A trip in which I met a group of women from around the world and connected with them on an entirely new level.⁠

A trip in which I felt the most incredible calm and grace wash over me.⁠
⁠
A trip in which I learned more about myself and want I want out of life. ⁠
⁠
This picture doesn't include all of the beautiful souls I met, but it represents one of the most fun evenings we shared together. ⁠
⁠
I'm forever grateful to have spent this time on such a magical island and to have gotten to meet such inspirational women who are disruptors, legacy creators and impact makers. I'm blessed to get to check in with a lot of them daily and to continue to grow our relationships.⁠

Mount Hope is a suspense thriller according to Kellie, but I saw love stories intertwined throughout. Not only between couples but between Jesus and David, the young gay man who was murdered.

This book isn’t just a great fiction read, it also stands for what I believe in…you don’t need to choose between your belief in Jesus or being true to who you are. He welcomes and loves the LGBTQ+ community with open arms.

Happy Father’s Day…to all the dads, step dads,

Happy Father’s Day…to all the dads, step dads, fur dads and dad figures out in the world.

I only got to spend 7 father’s days with my dad and I do often wonder what life would have been like if there’d been more. I’m grateful for the ones I did get to have with him.

I’m also grateful for the man that my kids get to call dad. I was able to see what Ted was like as a father before we had our tiny humans, so I knew they’d be very lucky and blessed. I was right.
