I have the luxury of going to therapy from this very place. For over 2 years I've sat on my bed with my laptop and gotten to work on myself. There have been laughs, tears, awakenings, lessons, homework and it's been the most incredible experience ever.⁠

May is Mental Health Awareness month. It's beyond time we #BreakTheStigma around mental health and ensure that everyone gets the help they need.⁠

I was raised that it was a weakness to seek help from a mental health professional. I can tell you that belief couldn't be further from the truth.⁠
⁠
I have childhood trauma that I'm recovering from. I didn't even know it was trauma or called that until I found my therapist who is an absolute angel. ⁠
⁠
If you need help, don't be afraid to ask for it. It will be life changing when you find the right therapist to help you. I'm forever grateful to mine and even look forward to our sessions together. ⁠

Say what?!?!

Google the person you’re pitching, you’re reaching out to, you want to be friends with, you have a prospect call with.

When you are armed with knowledge of the person you’re talking to, it shows that you took an extra step and want to know more about them.

You’d be amazed at what you can find when you Google a person and people will be impressed that you took the time to get to know them…or stalk them.

I love coming into a conversation armed with knowledge that is meaningful. You can connect with someone on a deeper level.

I've always been a book lover and it's been a dream to be able to call myself an author. The thought has been percolating more so in the last year and in December I hired the most incredible book coach to help me get started.⁠

@gretelhakanson worked with me for months to not only start my book, but to also create the most incredible book proposal. She guided me through the entire process and then it was time to query agents to see who might want to read the proposal.⁠

Last week, I received a call from Jacquie Flynn of Joelle Delbourgo Associates Literary Agency saying she would love to represent me!⁠

There's still more writing to do a book deal to be found but this is the first step in that direction. ⁠

There’s not a day that goes by where I’m not counting my blessings when it comes to being the mom of these two tiny humans.

I’m blessed to be a mom and I’m lucky that I got to choose to be a mom.

My hope for them is to make this world better for them and because of them.

To all the moms out there…with children here on earth or in heaven, fur children, stepchildren, wanting children….Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you for all you do!

There's a tightening in my chest this morning and I fear it won't be going away anytime soon. I'm saddened and angry that the freedoms and rights we have are literally being taken away and so many are simply sitting back and watching it play out.⁠

Voting rights are at risk.⁠
⁠
Women's rights are about to be obliterated, more so than some states already have. ⁠
⁠
Many people before us worked tirelessly to ensure that you and I have the freedoms we do today and here we are going back in time and needing to start fighting all over again. ⁠
⁠
This isn't about being pro abortion. This is about enabling a woman to do what she feels is best for her.⁠
⁠
This isn't about you, because you have no idea what someone else is going through.⁠
⁠
For me, this is about my daughter. This is about my friends. This is about the woman that gets raped and will now be forced to have a child. This is about that child who will grow up knowing how they were brought into this world....too bad we don't have better mental health care in our country because this child and its mother will certainly need it. ⁠
⁠
I'm appalled that this isn't just men who are pushing for women's rights to be abolished, but actually women. It's the most selfish thing I've ever seen or heard of. ⁠
⁠
We need to stand together and ensure our rights don't get taken from us. ⁠
⁠
This country is supposed to be based on freedom. Let's exercise that freedom to stand up for ourselves. To do this, we must vote and we must use our voices.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t celebr

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t celebrate my wins…at least no more than simply acknowledging to myself and maybe a couple of others that I’ve accomplished something.

And then I move on.

There’s no popping a bottle of champs. No fancy dinner or shopping spree.

I do celebrate in a different way and usually it’s not right away.

One of my favorite ways to celebrate is to create a memory, like taking a vacation. Not only is such a thing rewarding but often times it’s a great reminder that you’re able to be in that moment because of the hard work you put in to get there.
