Our country is such a hot mess right now and I know it feels like oftentimes there’s nothing that we, as individuals, can do to make a change. I don't believe that.⁠

In addition to using my voice on my social media platforms and podcast, I’ve joined Moms Demand Action. They are about gun sense (not taking rights away, but using common sense when it comes to gun ownership). You can do as much or as little as you want. I’m writing postcards to voters to let them know of candidates who are for gun sense and women’s rights. In one week, I’ve touched 60 people and also encouraged a friend to join me. ⁠

It’s a trickle effect. ⁠

Today, I’m counting my blessings and have never been so grateful to be alive. Right after I posted a selfie on Tuesday afternoon of being in bed with a pinched nerve, I couldn’t breathe without immense pain. With tears in my eyes, I said it was time to go to the ER.

3 hours later I was admitted to the hospital because my lungs were filled with blood clots. I had a thrombectomy on Thursday to remove one clot that was in my inferior vena cava and risked going to my lungs and heart.

Being home and alive today is not something I’m taking for granted.

My anesthesiologist called me a miracle and told me to go find my purpose. I told her I thought I already had, so maybe I just need to get louder about it.

Life is short my friends. Take care of yourself and live it to the fullest.
